1. Introduction
Waei Enterprise("we", "us", "our") is a CCTV installation, surveillance and access control solutions provider based in Chennai, India. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers, website visitors and mobile app users.
This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we collect, how we use and safeguard it, and the choices you have regarding your data. By using our website (waeient.com), our mobile application, or our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to:
- Our website and any sub-domains operated by Waei Enterprise.
- Our mobile application available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
- CCTV, access control and security services we provide at customer premises.
- Any communication you have with us by phone, email, WhatsApp or in person.
It does not cover third-party websites, apps or services that we may link to but do not control. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those third parties separately.
3. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve our services. This includes:
a) Account & Contact Information
- Your name and email address obtained through Google Sign-In when you register or log in to our mobile app. We do not create or store any passwords — authentication is handled securely by Google.
- Phone number and postal address you provide when requesting a quote, booking a site survey or contacting support.
b) Location & Device Information
- Approximate or precise location (with your permission) to schedule site visits, map service areas and configure your camera systems.
- Device information such as device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, app version and push notification tokens.
- Log data including IP address, access times and basic diagnostic information used to keep the app secure and stable.
c) Usage & Analytics Data
- Information about how you interact with our app and website (screens visited, features used, crashes) collected via Google Firebase Analytics to help us improve performance and usability.
4. Mobile App Permissions
Our mobile app requests certain device permissions strictly to deliver its features. You may grant or revoke these at any time in your device settings:
- Camera: to let you scan QR codes during device setup and capture photos relevant to your security installation. We do not access your camera in the background.
- Photos / Storage: to allow you to upload images (e.g., of your premises) and to save snapshots or recordings you choose to export.
- Location: to detect your service area and assist with camera configuration and scheduling.
- Notifications: to send you security alerts, appointment reminders and service updates.
Denying a permission may limit certain features but will not prevent you from using the core parts of the app.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and authenticate you securely.
- Provide, operate and maintain our CCTV, access control and related services.
- Schedule site surveys, installations and maintenance (AMC) visits.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling unrelated to our services.
6. Legal Basis & Your Consent
In line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), we process your personal data based on:
- Your consent, which you provide when you sign in, grant permissions or submit your details to us.
- The need to perform our contract with you (delivering the services you requested).
- Legitimate uses such as keeping our services secure and complying with the law.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting our Grievance Officer (see Section 16). Withdrawal will not affect processing already carried out lawfully before the withdrawal.
7. CCTV Footage & Surveillance Data
The CCTV cameras and access control systems we install record video, images and entry/attendance data on equipment owned and controlled by you, the customer. In these cases, you are the data fiduciary responsible for that footage.
- We do not host, store or monitor your live or recorded CCTV footage on our own servers.
- Remote viewing is typically provided through the manufacturer's own cloud platform (e.g., Hik-Connect, gCMOB, CP Plus) under their respective privacy policies.
- During installation or troubleshooting, our engineers may briefly access your system only with your authorisation and solely to complete the service.
We advise customers operating CCTV in shared or public spaces to display visible signage and to use surveillance lawfully and ethically.
9. Third-Party Services
Our website and app rely on trusted third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google Sign-In — for secure authentication (Google Privacy Policy).
- Google Firebase / Analytics — for app performance, crash reporting and usage insights.
- CCTV manufacturer cloud apps — for optional remote viewing of your cameras.
We recommend reviewing Google's Privacy Policy to understand how these providers process data.
11. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymise it.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 13).
12. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access controls and secure authentication through Google Sign-In.
However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to safeguard your own login credentials.
